Rockers Foo Fighters picked several awards including

Singer Dave Grohl said “This is a great honor because this record was a special record for our band. Despite the joy of winning artists there was a somber touch to the awards show, which began with a prayer for late pop superstar Whitney Houston. Houston died Saturday at the age of 48.
Other winners included Jay-Z and Kanye West for best rap performance with their song, “Otis” from the album “Watch the Throne.” Chris Brown won best R&B album while best Historical Album went to Paul McCartney for "Band On The Run (Paul McCartney Archive Collection – Deluxe Edition)."
