I am a paralegal by trade. Mr. Lopez' legal remedies have not been exhausted, and I would like to help him if allowed. Most times attorney's do not do their job as people think they do, they won't research the books other than act as a go between the judge and their client, file a direct appeal, and if denied, finalize their job, case closed. That should never be the process for an human being facing legal ramifications or sitting in prison. For every action there is a reaction, and so in other words for every charge there is always a way out in the legal books, from Federal to State. The research has to be done, as well as a little outside investigation done incogito of the accusers, there is always a bigger picture than everyone understands. Mr Lopez has not exhausted his remedies. there are Habeus applications to contest the sentence, instead of going for a new trial, better to challenge the sentence to move the court for action on the sentence (reduction), (remand), better than for a new trial, who wants to go to trial again? If you can move the court to reduce a sentence, redact, file nunc-pro-tunc, mandamus, would be a stronger chance than a new trial. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, someone needs to attack the sentence, and what I've come to know for years is that there are always errors at every persons sentencing phase. I've know doubt if given the chance to help him (I'm not looking for money), I could, everyone needs to know that attorney's are not always doing the right thing even when they can. the best lawyers are non-licensed inmates in Federal Penetentiary. They will research with scrutiny and get results. I am a long time fan of Joe Lopez, and can help him. Someone pls quit the bullshit over his attorney says this or that, and tell me where to communicate with someone he trusts, and lets start attacking his sentence and start reducing his time instead of wasting time on getting a new trial, that would only come in todays legal world if that girl recanted or her mother came to her senses about what she knew she wanted and was after, Mr Lopez' money, and assets. Nothing like a premeditated setup. I have an investigative journalist by the name of Barry Cooper you can look at his videotapes on you tube, let me know when I can start filing legal challenges to his sentence for reduction. Thankyou, to ignore this help would be to say he's OK in prison.

Hi Joe,
I was Oscar’s accordion player for the longest. I believe only cd I didn't do was his very last one. I have been out of the music industry since 2007. After my dad passed away I just decided to hang low key. As far as Oscar G Y Grupo Sol band I have no idea. I have copies of all our cd’s though . I'm sure he's still around doing stage appearances. Hope Ramiro can give you some better insights since I don’t research much.

They performed @ my wedding this March,(it was a dream come true). Ricardo was just like I thought he would be. Very personable, down to earth, & very professional. Didn't mind signing all my cds & took lots of pictures! I don't think Ricardo & La Diferenzia get as much recognition as they should (imho). What has been ur experience with him & the group, if any? Hello Ramiro Burr. Wow your website has a wealth of Tejano music information. It is awesome! I just sent a prayer booklet and monetary cariñito to Mr. Joe Lopez. I mentioned your article. I also passed his address out to my fellow American Tejanos.
I found out another Tejano has music than me. Mr. Joe Silva at 214-339-0114 also has a wealth of information in regards to Tejano recordings in the 1950s,60s & 70s. Please do an article of him if you can.
Also, we ought to have a video interview recording of all living Tejano legendary music singers and musicians for historical purposes!
