Salsa star Hector Tricoche returns to San Antonio Sunday for the big salsa family festival at the Old San Juan nightclub.

The family event will also include performances by Mi Rumba Orchestra from Houston and DJ Papote.

Activities include food booths and arts & crafts. The festival will start at 1 p.m. outdoors and will move indoor at about 8 p.m. The Old San Juan is located at Austin Highway at 4429 Walzem.

Tricoche is an artist who emerged during the "romantic" phase of salsa of the mid'80s.

Grammy-winner Tex-Mex singer Emilio makes his
official comeback in a performance Sept. 4 as a special guest with Clay Walker.

The concert is scheduled at the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels.
